Hello all, I'm fairly new to this list and having tried and fallen for The Bat! which I find incredibly easy to use. I'm now busily promoting it to my fellow listers in the genealogy community who are frequently users of OE and fall victim to viruses fairly often.
Having had some success in promoting it I find I'm now answering questions in personal mails helping newbie users set up and explore the program. I found this list fairly recently thinking it may be a place I can recommend they come for help, but having read messages for a week I can see many techie/semi-techie discussions which would scare them off! Therefore what I really would like to know is if there is a help mailing list for those who are brand new to The Bat!, who maybe don't have much PC knowledge, are keen to learn, but don't want to be outfaced by too much in-depth or techie stuff? If there isn't such a list, then I'd be more than happy to start one to help newbies get going - but I don't want to re-invent the wheel! Any comments from all you *old hands* would be welcome though.
