Hello, This is not really a problem with TheBat! but I'm not sure how to address this. Maybe someone has some ideas.
I began having problems downloading my email from my ISP last week. Occasionally, the download process would inexplicably abort. The next time the mail server was contacted to download messages it would begin all over again and abort in the same exact place. The last two times this occurred, I experimented with the messages stored on the server until I could isolate the message or messages which were causing the unexpected abort. The offending messages originated from the same address. I can view the messages on the server. They appear to be OK as far as I can tell from a casual inspection. I have only two instances saved at this point, so it is hardly proof that something is wrong with messages from this particular address. I have received messages from this address for quite some time but this problem only began last week. It is not a problem with TheBat! because the download also aborts when I try Netscape Messenger. Not knowing what else I can do, I'm just collecting instances where the download fails on specific messages and building up a body of evidence. If the messages are ill-formed and causing a problem, my gut feeling is that ISP's mail server should not be accepting the mail. -- Best regards, Lawrence Johnson mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] ________________________________________________ Current version is 1.62 | "Using TBUDL" information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html
