The file does not show the Word logo.
I understand about TB! not recognising it as a Word file, but why
does TB! not give me the option to 'open with'?

It is the 'save as' dialog box that puzzles me.
After all: if the document did contain a macro virus, the last
thing I want to do is save it to disc.

Thanks for explaining why TB! does not open the file.
