Most of the time you'd like the reply to go to the From address you're using, so that's a reason to use the Reply-To in those exceptional cases that you prefer a reply to a different address. Apart from that, some lists use the convention that when you set a Reply-To address in your messages that the listserver won't insert it's own address in the Reply-To. In that case you'd get only private answers to your questions.
