Then do a clean install and restore your last known backup. Now to recover your lost messages... First, the facts. Renaming files doesn't change the modified date. The TB! folder view is replicated on your hard drive. Each mail folder typically contains two files; i.e. MESSAGES.TBI and MESSAGES.TBB. MESSAGES.TBB is often but not necessarily the largest of the two files. Therefore, you should be able to import messages (Tools>Import Messages>From The Bat! Message Base (.TBB-files...) into a temporary folder in TB! by identifying which files were modified after your last backup and renaming them to MESSAGES.TBI and MESSAGES.TBB. If you get it the wrong way round TB! will say that no files were imported. Finally, you can move them to your inbox, apply your filters and then use Folder->Maintenance... to remove dupes etc. Hopefully, that's helpful. But whatever you decide to do please keep a copy of all files. - -- As ever, Martin Webster The Bat! 2.00.15 (Windows XP Professional Service Pack 1) -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: PGP SDK 3.0.2 iQA/AwUBP3YIcVv+PP8p0/caEQJFYACfVMKoX9/TWMeVgSCLF6pEgv7gJuAAniwr 69pjE6uZG3VyBdAe7BLOhJ4/ =KXqy -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
