Have you looked at http://gmane.org ? They offer mailing list -> newsgroups
gateway, they let you encode the e-mail addresses to protect from spam
harvesters, and posts through news server must be from a confirmed e-mail
address (posting through newsserver can also be disabled). The server also
acts as an archive and allows web-based reading of the mailing list.
