This shouldn't be the case since an SMTP send can occur in tandem with an IMAP session. I'm not sure what's happening for you. This could be an IMAP server and TB! not getting along issue. A smooth IMAP experience is heavily dependent on the server you're connecting to. On another note, we're quite particular here about readability of posts and one thing we don't encourage and which is officially against list rules is excessive quoting.
