Abbreviation for *The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy* by Douglas
Adams and miniature of its cover illustration. It's an old and very
popular book--actually, series of books, which began as a BBC radio
program.

I had never heard of it until I got The Bat! It's a sort of mantra
among some TB! users.

That's in the "Hitchhiker's Guide." It's part of the story and also
sums up a certain philosophy. It is the "Answer" to "Life, the
Universe, and Everything," except, the question is missing.

When Leif was working with 9Val on Smileys, after 9Val first invented
a way to use them in The Bat!, Leif made these two images and put them
on tbbeta with a subject line, "Hey Trill, these are for you."

Now, Trill is my nickname, short for Trillian (also derived from *The
Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy*--she's one of the heroines and she
gets stranded far from earth but she gamely adjusts to all the foreign
environments).

I was beyond startled! But I did and do very much appreciate the two
"Smileys" and I'm glad they're in general use. I myself use them
rather frequently.

It's the way its .msl file is written. 9Val edited and enclosed all
the words in the Default smileys, but he missed enclosing the
initials. GRR and h2g2 (GRR and h2g2) are the ones that he missed.

Only 9Val can edit the Default Smileys. The PCWizesmileys I can edit,
as keeper of the PCWSmileys Smiley page.
