I've actually received once a message with TB 3.0 pro that was signed
with a digital certificate, so I guess it's possible.

I'd like to help, but I can't even find the 'generate' button you're
talking about.
After your previous post I actually got myself a new Thawte
certificate and tried to get it into TB, but no luck.
