I discouraged him by pulling a 'Scotty' on him and giving him a way overblown cost estimate for it and justifying it with a lot of 'technobabble', all for the good of the company. Thank god that boss isn't with us any more. Though I can understand it kinda, guess they're trying to build 'name recognition and give everything a 'uniform and professional look'.
