Hi there,

I sincerely hope that you can help me with this one.

I purchased The bat! a while ago - version 3 "and something"... - and have
updated it regularly (all betas and RC versions...) since then 'til version
3.5 was released.

Something happened (too fast to see exactly what happened...) when I
decided to use the RC 9 .msi file to install THAT version on top og RC8,
which was installed by replacing the "thebat.exe" file.

It seems obvious that the .msi file removed some files since I didn't find
the "uninstall" enty in "add/remove prgrams" or in The Bat's directory...

Well, I tried to install The Bat! again when the final version came out.
What happened again was that the installation process stops and I what pops
up on the screen is the enclosed files
(go here to look at them...:
http://home.tiscali.no/blizzard/Graphics/thebat_1.jpg and
http://home.tiscali.no/blizzard/Graphics/thebat_2.jpg ...

The old version is removed from my computer as far I as I can tell...
I deleted all files in The Bat's< directory as well as all references to
The Bat in the registry.

It seems like The Bat setup file (thebat_professional.smi) are searching
for a file to start the uninstall process of the old version. And when the
setup file doesn't find the file it obviously need to start that process
the whole installation process stops!

I don't get it! Why is this happening?

I have a back up of all my mails and setting and all I need now is to
install The Bat! again, which at the moment seems impossible...

Is it possible for you to come up with a solution?

In advance, thank you!
