Mo,

My bad. I was looking at the wrong directory when I told you that
C:\jdk1.2.2\jre\bin didn't have any library files in it.

Here are the dlls in that directory:

ActPanel.dll
JdbcOdbc.dll
agent.dll
audio.dll
awt.dll
cmm.dll
dcpr.dll
fontmanager.dll
hpi.dll
hprof.dll
java.dll
jpeg.dll
math.dll
msvcrt.dll
net.dll
npjava11.dll
npjava12.dll
npjava32.dll
packager.dll
plugprov.dll
symcjit.dll
zip.dll

As to VC++, I don't have it on my machine, but we do have a copy in the
office. I may have to resort to starting from the source code. Ugh. I
haven't had to do this before on Win 98.

That is strange. My install of jdk1.2.2 has a bunch of .dll files
in C:\jdk1.2.2\jre\bin:

/win/jdk1.2.2/jre/bin/java.dll
/win/jdk1.2.2/jre/bin/hpi.dll

Do you have VC++, if so I would suggest that you try building
from Source. A build from source has never failed me, but binary
distros have a lot of problems.
