Is this person a friend or acquaintance? Honestly, I wouldn't charge. It'll take, what? Max one to two hours? Chalk it up to a good deed or banking future good karma.
Geographical location shouldn't make any difference. And if he insisted that you be paid, I'd take considerably less than that ($75-100, maximum). Nothing you are doing is that specialized and the tools you are using are quite common.
