Yes, I'm using 2.52 as some other products require that, and it ships with
a few OS's already.
I cannot use the generated configure, as I have made changes to
configure{,.in}, and others. (or actually I could, but that would be
dirty.)
Is there harm in fixing this? IMO, requiring old versions is not a
solution.
