Below is an announcement for a position in our Soc dept at Washington
College.  We are a private liberal arts schools that places great
emphasis on teaching and rewards good teaching among the faculty.
Currently, we are planning to create an interdisciplinary criminology
program and seeking to expand the crim offerings in our department.
This is a great opportunity for someone to help mold this program.

Sociology. The Washington College Department of Sociology and
Anthropology invites applications for an entry-level tenure-track
position beginning in August, 2007. The successful candidate will
balance teaching, advising, research, and service for the benefit of
students in the department and the College as a whole. This is a new
position in a department building on its strengths. Its incumbent will
help to develop a new interdisciplinary concentration in criminology.
Candidates should have Ph. D. in hand, and evidence of significant
interest in criminology and related subfields.
