I had a rep stop by and go thru using Citrix as your ASP instead of having to load software onto individual workstations. It works with Win 2000 servers and can work on any Mac, Linux, Windows, etc. based machine.
Just wondering your opinions. I am looking for alternatives to having to update applications on all machines. Just trying to save some time. He said it works great over T1, 56k, wireless, even dial-up. I thought that this is interesting and he said if we were interested in it, that possibly someone from their Florida office could come and give us a demo and let us play with it at a Tech cord meeting. Just wondering what you think, here is the address: http://www.citrix.com/products/metaframexp/ I know he said the cost is around $5000 and in tight budget it probably isn't possible but maybe in the future. He said they can do package deals if multiple schools are involved or even as a co-op buy or something. -- Thanks, Jon W. Hueser Comp/Tech. Coord. East Greene Comm. Schools 405 12th Str.
