I have little experience here but,
go to http://FOGSERVERIP/fog/client/
And you will see a component you will need to download BEFORE imaging.

activate before the image.
Win 7 also has a different sysprep than XP as with the activation the
machines have to be completely different in all of their settings.
Sysprep has a generalize part that will make the image different for
each machine. I think this is actually different than just changing
the SID. You can also do it after wards, but before the reimaging
looks the easiest.

image or after deploying the image using FOG? I know that the serial
number goes in before uploading, my question concerns activation.
