I had one of those "geeky students" who worked here in the summers from the time he was in 7th grade until he graduated. He is now at the U of I and just completed an internship with Microsoft in Redmond. He works at the Best Buy Geek Squad and can be seen on Channel 3 News' Gadget Guy segment. Smart kid.

Though most are very beginners and don’t even know what a IP address is, I do get many who already know more than what I would expect if they completed two years in my program. Some downright make me nervous at times. This job can be a real pain at times but working with these kids (most of them) is really lots of fun.
