kcov returns kernel pointers, 32-bit program executed by 64-bit kernel cannot store them in 32-bit integers. It would need to detect real kernel ABI (and bypass constrains of emulation that fakes it) and handle 32 and 64-bit integers. Switching to 64-bit integers only makes handling of kcov traces in all scenarios easier.
