Back again :) I tried out the videocard again in 10.0 i(beta) and got a lot further. However I still stumble on a panic when starting X : (transcripted from screen) panic: unlocking unlocked wait/wound mutex: 0xffff82068d232120 linux_ww_mutex_unlock+0x9e ttm_bo_release+0xf3 amdgpu_bo_unref+0x1d amdgpu_vm_free_table+0x53 amdgpu_vm_free_pts+0x6a amdgpu_vm_fini+28c amdgpu_driver_postclose_kms+0x133 drm_file_free+0x1fb drm_close+0x60 closef+0x58 fd_close+0x140 sys_close+0x22 syscall()+0x1fc Also tried booting 10.99.10 and that works fine! There are some display glitches that can be attributed to write back cached memory etc but its hardly noticed on normal work. I am not sure what change made it work though as the diffs between the idents are already quite long. With regards, Reinoud
