Hi All, Since this is the sort of thing people discus here, I thought I would ask. I have an interview soon, and I need to get my facts straight on a few technical things before it. I have done quite a bit of java, but I am a little rusty.
What are the differences between J2SE and J2EE? I know J2EE is more for "web stuff" but what does that intail? Can you write servlets in J2SE? Anyone point me in the direction of a a good yet shortish review of; - unit testing (I think that is what it is called, test classes and such) - UML / use case diagrams and all that (rational rose stuff IIRC?) Does anyone actually do the UML / use case diagrams and all that BEFORE they start coding, or is it just one of those things managers talk about? How does Oracle development and administration differ from MySQL? Any recent developments in java (in the last 2 years) that I should be aware of? Anyone know the hot topics in bioinformatics ATM? Thanks for any input. Hugh Yahoo!
