This is exactly what I was attempting (poorly, it
seems) to ask. What I had meant to ask originally was
"would it be possible to 'split up' the freenet into
subspaces _without compromising anonymity_".

I, thoughtlessly, didn't make that clear of course,
assuming that it was implied. Whoops.

So my subspace scenario is not possible. I am crushed.
:P Oh well, life goes on.
