What about creating an official freesite where nodes could get (automatically) the updates. It would solve the problem of spreading updates at least for those who already have a running node and we'd be sure that the entire network is up-to-date a few hours after the release of the version... Additionnaly, we could make the nodes able to spread the packages across internet (as it actually works on 0.5).
Minor issue : If Toad or Ian (or anyone who knwos the private key of the freesite) is arrested by the Police, they could force him to give the private key of the freesite and blow every nodes... I'm sure it can be solved easily ;-D What do you think about that ?
