The other day I picked up an iBook G3 for a $1. Got it home and it actually boots up and connected to my WiFi very easily. I am wondering if this unit is worth reconditioning for my 5 year old Granddaughter. It is slow (compared to today's machines) and it is running OS 9.2 (I think). The battery is shot so before I do anything else I would like to get the lists opinion on its worth. I was surprised when it started reading what was on the screen aloud. I must have clicked on something that turned that feature on.
