Another vote no on cable arms, esp for 1U servers. I found the biggest hassle was if I needed to hot-swap cables, then I either needed to pre-run the new cable, slide the sucker all the way out, plug in new ones, etc.
And the airflow issue is also a big one. Even though my racks with lots of 1U servers aren't the neatest, the airflow isn't too impeded.
