I have taken the stand on my $WORK cell that if the number is not in my contact list I leave it go to Voice mail. I figure if it is important they will eave a message. Robots are looking for a pick up. So after a few drops to voice mail your number could get removed from their predictive dialer. I always wanted to keep one of those small compressed air horns by the phone and hen you get one of those annoying calls where they have paid no attention to the No Call Lists you just give it a blast and then say. Sorry I have to go they are calling me. But my wife keeps telling me I will get sued.
I do have a user that will call my cell but block her phone number. I have told her she will never get me as long as she does that. Of course she doesn't listen and refuses to leave a voice mail so she gets relegated to wait until the next day. But I have to say I am technically not on call 24 x 7 so I can get away with this tactic. Amazingly they (The SPAMMERS) never call me during the work day.
