I haven't seen that *specifically* but it's highly reminiscent of some problems 
I've seen before - So - a few questions for you.

What kind of HBA are you using?  When we saw a similar problem, we were using 
the Broadcom ethernet, and after trying everything in the world, we added an 
Intel ethernet card and started using it instead, which made the problem go 
away.  But it sounds like you've already been down this path.

Obviously, I hope you've applied all the firmware updates.  And talk to Dell to 
see if they have any as-yet unreleased updates they want to give you.  And 
once, I think they advised going back to a previous rev.

I bet you already know, you have two choices:  You can either install VMWare 
from the iso you downloaded from vmware, or you can use the Dell Customized 
version that's available from dell.  You should use the Dell Customized one.
