G'day.

We have a Splunk 4.1 trial deployment that has proved itself successful enough
that users are asking us for more features. The main one they are after is
that they can perform a Splunk search and feed the results into a Unix
pipeline easily.

I know we can do that with the splunk binary, but installing Splunk on every
workstation just to get that feature seems overkill; does anyone have a simple
CLI search tool, probably against the REST API, that we can just pick up and
use?

Regards,
        Daniel
