Since you seem to care about this topic enough to actually contend with what Ulf has been working on for months, let's phrase it this way: Ulf's mails have diffs attached, and yours don't. Easy choice. As much as we'd like to keep things stable, we need to make progress, too. And of course the community is not going to accept diffs (from anyone) which cause major regressions. So I don't see why you're so worried.
