I've made up a
product name (the "product HP USB2SER 0x3524 Prolific uplcom" part of
the diff). That should be improved first. Do you have a model name
for this HP product? Any additional stickers that help identify it?

The product is an "LD220-HP" according to the serial # sticker on the
underside, but it could be an OEM product of course. The display itself
says "VFD DISPLAY LD220" when it boots, so that's really it. HP calls it
a "pole display".
It was given me several years ago by an HP employee; I've tried looking
for this exact same model on the (core dump that is the) HP Web site,
but nothing; they have "pole displays" but none with a unique identifier
on them. I think we should trust the "LD220-HP".
Note though that it'll only be in OpenBSD from that day, and won't be
backported to 6.3.
Oh, that's perfectly ok -- I now have a version which works and I don't
have to change that until 6.4.
