It sounds like you should try using the Audible Manager rather than Finder.
I use it on Windows but presumably it will be just as easy on the Mac.

Put your SD Card into the Mac.  Then go  to your Audible Manager and just
select Transfer to Pocket Plextalk from the context menu of the book.

If this is not possible then something had gone wrong with your SD card
authorisation.

All you need to do is select Plextalk Devices from the list of supported
devices in Audible Manager and then  enter the serial number of your Pocket
Plextalk   when prompted to do so. You can get the serial number by pressing
5 repeatedly on your Plextalk to cycle through information.   The serial
number is the last bit  of information announced. The Audible Manager should
then rebuild your activation file on the SD card. There is no limit to the
number of times you can do this to set up SD cards so there is no need to
worry. Once this has been done the option to transfer to Pocket Plextalk
should appear in the context menu in Audible Manager.
