Jeff,
I can't thank you enough for the responses, but I still think part of my problem is the Vcc going to the 9-1690 (convergence). I don't show any B+ on either side of these two resistors.....(R1460 and R4163).......and I am stuck for schematics, because not one tech has responded with any information as to the whereabouts of a print for this set. I guess it was a loser for Zenith. Anyways, I'll call all of my distributors tomorrow and some I've never tried b4 and do whatever it takes to win this battle.
Thanks Again.
Joe

Joe,
You can get this board rebuilt from PTS for around $113..that price is 2 years old.

Most are repaired simply by replacing the IC's, the one ohm resistors and the 82/110k
resistors on the
9-1674 board.
If you are missing your supply voltages, you may have another open resistor.
I added the module number to the subject line with hopes it gets someone else's
attention...but you need
to replace these parts, then see where you are.

Since no-one has the schematics on this set, where would be the best place to obtain them? I really need to get this set out'a here fast! Thanks for ANY responses. Joe

Nope... it's marked R1460 on the pc board. I'll try to check the other
stuff you mentioned, though. Thanks for the response.

Joe,
Those resistors are probable 1 ohm...It appears you mistyped the one
as R1460, did you mean R4160?
Replace these and replace the two convergence amps.
Also check The 5a Pigtail Fuses On The Main Ps/Sweep Board May Be Open
And Open R3243* 110k Resistor On Power Supply. Also Check R3244*82k.
Also, resolder the connector on the 9-1674 module, there is a stand up
PCB with a cable going to the CRT
boards. I always remove the support bracket and solder these pins..the
replace the bracket.

SMPS; 9-1674-01 Convergence; 9-1690 Main; 9-1679-01 Convrgence out. Looks like 3 pictures superimposed on top of each other. When I go through the menu to adjust, the adjustment controls have no control. There are two resistors burned beyond recognition on the 9-1690 convergence board. They are R4163 and R1460. Using the neg. side of C4102 as ref. grd, I have 0 VDC on either side of these resistors. I assume the supply voltages (I think there is a +24 and a -24 vdc going to the convergencve amps (STK392-110). I'm not sure of these voltages, though, since I have no schematics. (Hint, hint). The two red horiz. lines are shifted to the left and won't budge over to the right. The two vertical lines are shifted to the top and won't move down at all. Can anyone out there give a guy a help up on this? Any help is VERY much appreciated on this one. (any of them)! Thanks ahead Joe
