Simple is not only good, it's necessary. Each level of complexity that
gets added reduces the liklihood that a project will succeed. For now,
I think that sticking with the simplest methods is the best idea.
Later, perhaps, if this part of the project succeeds, we can introduce a
new level of complexity, but "first things first" and all that. One
thing I didn't mention in my earlier post is the fact that there are
also -hundreds- of "see also" references in existing man pages that are
broken. That should probably be step 2, but we'll deal with that later
(as coordinating that part is significantly more complicated).

I've only been using LyX for a few days (since John sent me an RPM after
we discussed it at the Atlanta Linux Showcase). I'm very impressed so
far, however, and I can see it becoming my primary authoring tool. I
recommend that everyone take the time to check it out.
