Title: MS SharePoint Architect Location: Atlanta, GA Duration: 12+ Months ** *Description:*** A top-notch Microsoft software engineer is needed for an engagement to provide technical leadership and architectural guidance for a multi-million dollar software development project for our client. The project will encompass the upgrade of its existing custom-developed portal from .NET 1 to a combination of .NET 3, Sharepoint 2007, and Active Directory. The ideal candidate must demonstrate in-depth knowledge and understanding of web application development concepts on a multi-tier distributed server Microsoft .NET platform to include architecture, programming, design, data modeling, database administration, and troubleshooting. * * *Required Skills:* • Hands-on experience in portals, user registration, and web site administration, including those based on Microsoft technologies as well as competitive platforms • At least 8 years of experience in a technical lead, project management, and architect role. • At least 5 years of experience in a senior developer role developing applications in .NET environment and at least 8 years of development experience in a business and technical environment • Hands on experience building applications using SharePoint 2003 and 2007 • Technical skills must include C#, ASP.NET, XSL, Web Services, T-SQL, and XML • Knowledge of full application life cycle design tools and methodologies, e.g., Microsoft (MSF), Rational (RUP), Extreme Programming • Excellent oral and written communication skills • Excellent customer-facing skills • Undergraduate degree in computer science or related area of study. Graduate degree in similar discipline is preferred *Desired Skills:*** • Expert level knowledge in at least one of the following Windows technology areas is preferred: distributed application architecture, Active Directory, Win32, IIS, COM+, C++ • Hands on experience on Project Server 2007/2003 with programming experience in VBA and PSI • Advanced knowledge in relational and dimensional databases for SQL Server and Oracle • Microsoft Certified Professional certifications in SQL Server 2000/2005, C#, and .NET framework
