Duties include Database & Applications Installation, Configuration, Upgrade, Migration, Maintenance, Security, Cloning, Backup and Recovery, Performance Tuning, Capacity and Space Management, Problem Resolution, System Documentation, and System management and Support. Job Details: · Hands-on experience with Oracle databases and Applications version R12.1 and R11.5.10.2 modules. · Hands-on Experience Installation, Configuration, Upgrade of Oracle Applications 11i, Database upgrades 9i to 11g. · Full Applications R12 lifecycle support. · Technical Support for Oracle Applications, AD Admin utilities, including management of databases, concurrent managers, listeners, Application Load balancing · Experience working with Oracle Support: opening, managing, and resolving Oracle SR's. Applications System Administration and Troubleshooting. · Managing database and applications security · Knowledge and experience with Multi-Node and Multi-Tier Applications environments · Managing Standby databases and RAC databases in UNIX environment. · Experience and in-depth understanding of Oracle backup and recovery methodologies, Strong skills in RMAN is Desired. · Experience with Oracle Application Server versions 9.2.0.4 (1.0.2.2) and up, with Oracle Portal, Single Sign On. · Installation, Configuration & Maintenance on Oracle SOA, Discoverer environments UNIX shell scripting. · PL/SQL programming background and exposure to Oracle Applications Development support (Oracle Forms and Reports), Application Desktop Integrator · Evaluate patches, perform Patch Analysis and upgrades, and develop and execute patching and upgrade project plans · Organize and maintain documentation such as maintenance guides, system descriptions, configuration diagrams, testing and recovery plans, and operating procedures Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: · 5+ years as an Oracle Applications DBA (w/R12.1 and 11.5.10.2 experience) · 8+ years of experience with Core Oracle Database (Oracle 9i, 10g,11g ) · Excellent Verbal and Written Communications skills. · Good shell scripting · Hands on Oracle Application Upgrade is added advantage Education/Experience: Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
