Requirement description:*
Developer - Database (Senior) PS Data Engineer Role This description is
indicative of a senior level data engineer. A lead role would require an
increase in the length of experience and also would require additional soft
skills in leadership and communication.
Core engineering skills:
•A minimum of 3 years experience writing primarily SQL and PL/SQL as a data
engineer.
•2 years experience working with an Oracle database.
•Formal training in data objects, structures and methodology.
•Strong subject matter knowledge of Client GTMS database domains, including
awareness of supporting SME contacts.
•Assess the requested data change for validity and viability. Not all
requests should be fulfilled.
•Analyze the full impact to the data of any application or database issue,
ensuring that the solution encompasses all affected data (i.e, When catalogs
in client.net are misaligned with headers, the clean up may extend to
orders placed off of those catalogs).
•Work with SME Engineers to ensure manual data changes to Production are a
last resort only.
•Ensure that appropriate security policies are implemented and maintain
role, user, and object permissions.
•Assist in database and query performance tuning.
•Assists in communication with PS DBAs. Data Modeling
