Well, what I am trying to say is that if the user goes perl Makefile.PL -servername my.name.com or perl Makefile.PL -servername 127.0.0.1 His/Her problem will also go away. installing Socket6 will not solve the problem, but just allow me to detect if a problem is certain to happen. In any case, at that point, the user will need to specify an ipv4 hostname/address. > > install the perl CPAN module 'Socket6' and re-run the last command. > > > > > -- > __________________________________________________________________ > Stas Bekman JAm_pH ------> Just Another mod_perl Hacker > http://stason.org/ mod_perl Guide ---> http://perl.apache.org > mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] http://use.perl.org http://apacheweek.com > http://modperlbook.org http://apache.org http://ticketmaster.com
