SNIP Transaction Testing Sub Work Group

Meeting Minutes

January 31, 2002

Conference # (703) 736-7290 Pass Code 1315339

Minutes:

Technical Test Scenarios: It was noted that there were still some volunteers working on the outstanding institutional and dental scenarios. At the next meeting a status of remaining pages will be given and the team will decide if the scenarios should be given to Claredi to have available on the website in time for the March forum.

Business Test Scenarios: No update available. The status of what is available on the Claredi website is required in preparation for the March forum.

Webcast: The webcast is scheduled for 02/28/02, 2-3:30 EST.

March Quarterly SNIP Form: There was discussion about the panel discussion to be presented. The panel will consist of Sue Ryder, John Lilleston, Cynthia Korman, Marsha Solomon, and possibly Susan Fritz. Cynthia Korman noted that she was preparing a discussion on the business to business level 7 testing that should be expected after certification. Subsequent to the meeting Cynthia provided the following description.

"The type of testing I'll speak to at the 3/6 SNIP meeting is "External
Testing/Validation Phase". This phrase is from the latest draft of the
Transaction Sequencing White Paper (currently being revised to address HR
3323, aka ASCA). The Trans Seq WP has a section on "A Systems Development
Approach to Implementation", and this phrasing is from there."

I will be presenting an overview of how the scenarios were developed, their purpose, and how the spreadsheets were used to systematically create the test data sets by Claredi.

John will be demonstrating the actual use of the test data sets and the results produced from the mapping software.

The focus of the 02/14/02 meeting will be to finalize each speaker’s topics.

Miscellaneous: David Frenkel asked how additional certification vendors/products would be added to the WP’s appendix. He noted that there is a product called EDIFEX from the vendor GEFEG that is desktop software that performs validation of levels 1 through 6 similar to the EDISM product. He was asked to send the Testing SWG the proposed addition to the appendix for review/approval.
