If pdftex.cfg is not read, how about fonts? I means that normally, there is a line in pdftex.cfg which says "map pdftex.map" For example, I want to use fourier font, I need to tell it by adding the following line to pdftex.cfg: map +fourier.map Appreciate your kind helps!
