my gsftopk version is: gsftopk(k) 1.19.2 kpathsea version 3.5.4 my gs version is: 8.15.0 The gs program in my distribution is part of the espgs-8.15rc2 package, which seems to be the most current package according to http://www.cups.org/espgs/. If I downgrade to espgs-7.07.1, it works fine. So I will bother those guys to fix the bug, because it seems to be there fault. Thanks for your help! Sebastian
