You seem to be missing the font outlines. xdvi needs them to
create the preview. Just create ps file and preview it with gs.
Ghostscript will use URW Bookman to preview you document. If you
have a PostScript printer standing somewhere around you could
just print the ps file. Most PostScript printers have those fonts
built-in so you can print you documents with Bookman, Times,
Helvetica, AvantGarde, NewCenturySchoolbook, Palatino and Courier
without having the font outlines installed on your computer.
