Hello everybody,

new versions of the MusiXTeX add-ons musixlyr and musixser are available
in the software collection of icking-music-archive.sunsite.dk (thanks,
Don!).

musixlyr 2.1
============

This is mainly a bugfix version based on 2.0c, with a few minor
functional additions. If you are using musixlyr 2.0c and are happy with
it, there's no need to change to 2.1. On the other hand, it you
experience weird lyrics behaviour, it's best to try the new version 2.1
prior to further troubleshooting steps. For further information, see:

musixser 1.2
============

Maybe hardly anybody remembers what this actually was ... Anyway, for
those who really do (or even use it): The main new feature is the
ability to do "for each" loops over repeated structures. Regarding a
sequence of notes with equal duration, this means that, for example,

  \NOtes\qa{cdefgfedc}\en

can be expressed in the same spirit in musixser style:

  +f4 \qa cdefgfedc

Even more, such a sequence may easily extend over multiple bars.

Likewise, it's possible (and far more interesting) to loop over
parameterized multi-note structures like ostinato or accompaniment
patterns.

As always, all kinds of comments are welcome.

Best regards,

Rainer
