To answer your last query; I was poking fun at a *process* which is known to cause amusing results (and with computer translations can be extremely hilariouis). YOu were poking fun at a bias that many people have, but you were implying directly that i also suffer from it (and your choice of language didn't mitigate against this implication). This is the difference, my joke was impersonal, yours was personal. It didn't help that the English-o-centric view of the world is something that annoys me intensely !
