If I understand your description correctly, this should do the job (\NH
here shall mean "no head"):

8<---------------(beware of unwanted line breaks)---------------------------
Style: Singer
Meter: m3434
Systems: 1
Size: 16
Indent: 0
%%\makeatletter
%% [EMAIL PROTECTED]@symbol
%%  [EMAIL PROTECTED]@[EMAIL PROTECTED]@symbolorig}}
%%\makeatother

%%\\startrule\
%%\\nobarnumbers\
[+4 g8 \NH\ g1 \NH\ g1 ] [+4 \NH\ g8 \NH\ g1 \NH\ g1 ] [+4 \NH\ g8 \NH\ g ]
C: e-e+be+be ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
8<---------------(beware of unwanted line breaks)---------------------------

A similar solution with an "on" and "off" switch - so that you don't
need to repeat the \NH command at every headless note - should also be
possible.

Best regards,

Rainer
