Thanks to Galen and Ellie for a great trip to Whirlpool Cave in Austin! I had never been there, and decided to try it:) Pushed this older caver's body into doing things not done in 20-30 years, and truly had a great time:) The pain and colorful evidence of body meeting rock are awesome, and might create some interesting comments at work tomorrow! Thanks to all on trip for a wonderful day of caving and friendship:)
Bonus to beginning of trip - chatting with Gill Ediger at meet up for trip. Bonus at end of trip - having long time caver friend Barb Vinson, husband, and son sit down at table next to us at Threadgill's south!
