Emily >From Greyson: I visited her yesterday. She is kicking like crazy. I was with my fellow Hermann volunteer Gary Alley and we recognized that Mal had been slipping down in her her bed and her feet were hitting the bottom rail so we pulled her up using the mat under her like we have been taught. We laid the bed back to do so and she had a relieved look on her face while laying back. Doctors orders, her head had to be elevated back up to help with the drainage of the lungs. Once she was elevated she went back to kicking. But at least now Vickie and Steve know how to safely scoot her up when she slides down . I saw her reach out her hand to Steve (her dad) that was very encouraging. She is going to be transferred to Hermann TIRR facility very soon. That is where Gabby Gifford and President Bush were sent for recovery therapy. I said to Vickie "I think she would be pretty pissed if she knew we were seeing her legs without being shaved for a few weeks". Oops she stared directly at me for a few seconds. Knowing her, that remark would have generated laughter.
