At this point, no one knows what causes WNS. There is a fungus
associated with it, but saying that a bat has been identified with the
_Geomyces destructans_ fungus is NOT the same as saying that WNS has
been confirmed at the site.
Once again, I point out that for those of you who know absolutely
nothing about WNS, especially David L., to please go to the excellent
WNS webpages on the BCI, NSS, and USFWS websites.
