Personally, I feel that preserving--or providing--a habitat for wild animals is as important to land management as is water conservation and grazing. Leaving certain desirable trees, forbs, prickly pear, and native Texas grasses, and having controlled burns every few years, etc provides a well-rounded environment for all those land use possibilities to coexist. --Ediger
