Hi David:

Even if the convention were to lose money, the NSS has a special convention fund where they take the profits from other conventions to make up the short fall.  This is done so that conventions will cut the budget tight to hold the registration costs down on conventions, but not draw from general funds if they take a loss.

      In fact, they announced at the banquet that the Convention broke even.
