The head shape looks like a python. A Texas rat snake can grow to a length of 
seven feet as my daughter, Jenny, measured one that long at her home in Austin 
last year. I believe that the TRS has more of a diamond pattern. Fritz

Texas rat snake, I think.  Non-venomous.  From what I understand, round eyes 
tend to mean non-venomous.
